Bye Google Chrome, Welcome Back Firefox

I wanted to like Google chrome. Downloading it was amazingly fast. It was like magic. It has a malware/spyware alert system that actually prevented me from opening sites including blogspot sites that have some issues. I would have wanted it to work!

But, it was freakingly sloooooooooowwwww. I don't get it! It can hardly open its very own Google reader. It doesn't allow me to reply to my yahoo mail messages. I was unable to reply to group threads or to private messages. I don't get it.

Now, there is a theory floating around that google chrome's sluggish performance is due to its secret activity of actually mining information on the user's web activities. Ah ha.

That's it. I am outta here and running back to firefox!

I tried Google Chrome when it first came out. But I always find myself switching back to Firefox. After a week, I completely removed it. Firefox is soooo much better, what with the add-ons and themes!

I love google chrome. There is a setting in the tools section to turn off the tracking. My daughter complained about hers and I went and checked her computer with spybot and she had 150 issues going on. Once I rid her system of all that her google chrome worked like a charm.

womandriver, please do us a huge favor by telling us how to tweak chrome and turn off tracking. Like Melanie, my firefox is having issues for the past few days. I can't open it now. Don't know if it is a vista problem or a mozilla problem.

hope you got your issues fixed soon. i understand how irritating it is to have such interruptions... have a happy weekend :-)

Hello Nancy, I am glad you can join us. Oh yes, it is such a pain to be having issues with your web browser especially if you are a blogger. :)

It doesn't surprise me with the Google Chrome. I too downloaded and tried the Google chrome and ended up uninstalling it because I kept on getting an error message with it. I am not a great fan of Firefox, but it does help with when you want to advertise, but I've been using Opera for sometime I use it for my entrecard dropping because it is faster for me at least.Interesting that blogspot sites wouldn't show up.
